the hanging of the house of haman
19Feb10
I just made my first stop motion animation! It’s one of three parts of my installation for tomorrow’s Purim shpiel, all revolving around the hanging of the house of Haman. (For those of you who aren’t familiar with the story, Haman is the evil dude who wants to kill all of the Jews, and winds up getting hung – along with his family – in the gallows he had built for the Jews.) I also made a super-8 film which is creepy and beautiful, but it might not get seen if I can’t get a working projector by tomorrow night. Part 3 is a zoetrope of him swinging which also still problematic at the moment. But at least one piece of the installation is finished.
