Like, when one of your personal heroes asks you to co-curate one of your favorite performance events/seasonal queer art happenings.

And you’re kind of like — I’m supposed to be hibernating, I’m supposed to be writing, oh my GOSH this is too awesome to NOT say yes to!!!

(I’m also out here trying to deal with my workaholic tendencies… so there’s THAT. But still.)

And then sometimes, after a spirited book club discussion of the Faggots and their Friends Between Revolutions (highly recommended reading!!) before a truly delightful party (Earl Dax’s Family & Friends gathering at the Hotel Chantelle), you get completely inspired by Strong Women, and come roaring across the dance floor to shout MORE PUSSY! LESS FAGGOT! into your co-curator’s ear, and decide to use that as your curatorial mantra for PF’s 4th birthday party.

No disrespect to my dear faggot-identified sisters intended — seriously!!!  But…. seriously.

And also, seriously : if you find the name of this party offensive, please drop me a note, because I’d actually really like to hear WHY.  I have a thorn in my paw about it, a little, which I’m trying to work out, because I actually believe this is a great event and I’m interested in helping it stay awesome.
